PIPI Surf Aotearoa Program - Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in the PIPI Surf Aotearoa Program. By registering and participating, you agree to abide by these terms:

1. Eligibility:

  • Participants must be NZ Citizens or residents residing in the Waikato region, .

  • Children under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

2. Registration:

  • Registration for the entire programme is open until 5 PM on December 1, 2023.

  • Each participant must complete an individual registration form.

  • Participants must indicate their interest in the full program during registration, late registrations will be considered on a case by case basis from PIPI Surf Aotearoa.

3. Program Details:

  • The program will run for consecutive Sunday’s, starting from December 1, 2023, weather permitting.

  • Surfing lessons are subject to weather and surf forecasts. In case of unsafe conditions, Surf Skate lessons may be offered instead.

  • Lesson times and age groups (tamariki, rangatahi, and adults) will be posted weekly on the PIPI Pathways Group on Facebook.

  • Each surfing lesson is 90 minutes long and may accommodate up to 40 participants.

4. Pricing:

  • Participants with valid community services cards can attend the entire program for free. Proof of eligibility must be provided.

  • Participants without community services cards: $200.00 per child (under 18) and $300.00 per adult for the entire program.

  • All proceeds from paid registrations will be donated to a local charitable trust..

5. Safety and Equipment:

  • Safety is our top priority. Surfing lessons will only take place if conditions are suitable for first-time surfers.

  • Wetsuits and surfing equipment will be provided for the duration of the program. Participants are encouraged to bring their own wetsuits if possible.

6. Liability:

  • Participants understand and accept the inherent risks associated with surfing and water-related activities.

  • PIPI Surf Aotearoa, its coaches, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damage to personal property during the program.

  • Participants are encouraged to follow safety instructions and guidelines at all times.

7. Privacy:

  • Personal information provided during registration will be used for program-related communications and will not be shared with third parties.

8. Code of Conduct:

  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner towards other participants, coaches, and volunteers.

  • Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the participant being removed from the program without a refund.

9. Changes and Cancellations:

  • PIPI Surf Aotearoa reserves the right to make changes to the program schedule, including lesson times and locations, based on weather and safety considerations.

  • Participants will be notified of any changes or cancellations via the PIPI Pathways Group on Facebook.
